I wanted to communicate some thoughts regarding how just a little bit of preparation and time goes a long way! Let us start with a brief overview of how a regular day in the life of me unfolds. I wake up slowly, taking my time for self-care in the morning and head off to school (by bike 95% of the time) with a huge container of prepared foods to fuel myself for the day. I have plastic bags that I reuse for nuts and dried fruit, an amazing salad container, a Contigo (reusable mug) for my coffee, and a glass-lock container filled with carrots and hummus. When I get home, I cook my own dinner- I rarely get takeout, saving containers that only would have been used once.

If I need to go grocery shopping, I bring reusable bags and ziplocs for things from the bulk section. Today, I managed to buy fresh fish, a large bag of cashews, and an assortment of fruits and veggies with only a couple wire ties as waste. And guess what? IT FELT AMAZING!

Plastic wrap is not a thing at our home; instead, we use handmade beeswax wraps that only require a wash to be used again! While my daily processes take time, I take better care of not only myself through them, but also the environment!

If we all took a little bit of extra time in our day to be mindful, we would take much better care of our planet. It's as simple as a few small, but EXTRA awesome steps that cumulatively make quite the difference.
