My first practicum was so much fun! I got to jump in head first into a kindergarten class. The school had a wonderful courtyard where we went every day. My practicum partner and I tried to do as many lessons outside as possible... the kids loved it! What a fun-filled and exploratory time this was at Lochside Elementary School.

These are not only fun for the kids... but for the teacher as well! Not to mention what a great team building/ cooperative activity it is!

Crabby Field Trip at Islandview Beach
We went on a wicked cool fieldtrip to explore the mini world of crabs! I volunteered myself to get dressed up like one. Did you know that the things that PINCH on the end are called PINCERS and not PINCHERS?!
Outdoor Length Scavenger Hunt
The best way for kids to understand math is to get them engaged in hands-on activities! Here, the kindies were looking for objects shorter/ longer than their pencil.
