Shopping Experience at the Zero Waste Emporium

I finally made it in here! What a fantastic local grocery store, where....you guessed it... there is no packaging! You can buy everything here. Cereal, dried fruit, yogurt, hummus, pasta, dish soap, shampoo, cooking oils, veggies, fresh bread, kombucha and cheese are all available from local/ sustainable businesses.

What you do:

1. Bring mason jars, tupperware or glasslocks

2. Tare your containers on the scales before you shop and write down the weight

3. Fill them up with all sorts of good stuff, writing down the item code

4. Pay on the "Square" iPad system; if you want a receipt, it can be sent to you via email

5. Enjoy your efforts to lessen our impact on the environment!
